Just a reminder that www.uwishunu.com is a community blog and as such, we ask for members of the community to submit posts! It's supposed to be "insider" information - you are the insiders! Give it up. You can submit posts to iknow@uwishunu.com

@alex

I think that sounds like a good idea IF you aim it at local students as a way of preventing creative brain drain. I'm not sure students who aren't from Philly would be able to make a site about this city. Great idea to present to local cultural orgs and universities.

I know when I was a student I could have used something to let me know I was wanted/had opportunities in Philly. So many area orgs and sites seemed to always be geared towards mid-career pros.

why not tie the two ideas together...if we were to create some sort of Creative Scholarship Foundation (or plant the idea of one with another organization), and have the entrance for consideration with the scholarship be a design for a website/blog about why they think Philadelphia is a good place for them to learn and perfect their craft.

In time we could end up with a family of these sites better visually representing Philadelphia, a bunch of tuned-in students contributing their thoughts to the mix. Win, win.
